In a bizarre collaboration that defies usual expectations, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a clandestine group.

The mission concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
